Default First games with new brutal nightmare ( Chameleon! )

So i just got back from taking my ball to get drilled and trying it out for the first time before league Monday. One of the guys that works/bowls there that i talk to said to try bowling on lane 30. So i did. Asked him why. He said its freshly oiled sports pattern and wants to see how id to. So just to jump straight to the end here my first game was a 201. took me 5 shots to find my mark and get used to the way that ball just makes a turn in the backend. WOW. my second game was a 235 and last game was a 211. I haven't shot on a sport pattern in FOREVER!!! it was the Chameleon. But gonna be interesting to see how i do on a THS monday. But so far i really like my new ball. Think imma be a DV8 fanatic now lol. But monday ill let you all know how i do.

Thanks for the info. I've been looking at the Brutal Nightmare for a while now. Have a Hellraiser Revenge and Misfit in my arsenal and this seems like the next logical step. Let us know how it goes on a THS Monday.

I don't know what kind of line you played on the sport pattern. Was it more straight up or did you belly the ball out some toward the gutter? If you played more straight up on the sport pattern you might have to find a line from more inside on the THS pattern you are going to bowl on league night. Good luck with the new ball.

I started my first 3 shots like if i was using my old ball which is more of straight up shot. for me its down the 2nd arrow and in. my first shot went Brooklyn. so i threw it a lil faster cuz man did that ball make a sudden move like ive never seen (been able to throw before) in the backend. Doing this i got back on the right side but got 2 straight splits!! A guy bowling next to me had a hellrasier revenge and gave me a few tips for playing this pattern and the type of ball i have. I had to move WAY left to start with, then shot out across between the third and middle arrow and watch that thing make a turn right in the pocket. I have NEVER been able to play a line like that in my life. maybe it was the pattern, maybe its the ball. maybe both idk lol. All i know is my old ball was like a continuous motion down the lane,no sudden turns. not anymore. It goes out and TURNS!!!! I must say so far im very impressed with this ball. just gonna take some getting used to.....SOOO since i played "belly the ball out some toward the gutter" what would u suggest for a THS shot? I hope all that made sense...

If you were playing way left on the sport pattern with the new ball on the THS pattern you might have to do the same thing but during warmups before league bowling you will have to find which arrow on the alley you will have to throw across. Maybe from the left it would be over the third, fourth or even the fifth arrow from the left. Then depending on which arrow you use from the left you will have to fool around with a lateral move with your feet from the left side to the right side to find which is best for your balls breakpoint to the pocket. If your new ball can't get synced up with the THS pattern do
you have a less aggressive ball as a backup? Good luck.

Soooo last night not so much luck as i did the other day at practice. During league i shot a 201-214-200. I had really good games going like 5-4 strikes in a row each game which is the only reason i made 200+ My problem was on my misses EVERY LAST ONE but 1 was all splits!!! I started playing straight up,straight down between the 1-2 arrow, but time third game came and others throwing the same line i had to adjust left the throwing out over the 3rd arrow and back in. Couldn't figure out why im leaving so many splits and the other day i only say 1....My only other ball is my columbia 300 action packed, the best i can describe it is its more of a continuous smooth arc motion ball vs my new ball where it goes further and turns. total different break point.
