Watched my friend pick up the 4-6 split tonight. Of course, she cheated as she guttered the ball, it popped out, hit the 4 and flung the 4 pin into the 6. It looked really cool though.
I picked up a spare in league a few weeks ago (nothing crazy like the 7-10) and one of the players from the next lane over shouted out (in a positive manner) "you are a f#$%ing freak".

Got the 6-7-10 in open bowling...was by myself too...it was a thriling moment though
Still waiting to make that 7-10.
But I do enjoy making the 6-7, 3-8, 6-7-10 and 3-6-7.
My nemesis is the 4-10 - I have yet to make that split (and get it more often than the 7-10)

picked up the 6-7-10 twice this season. a few months ago during our friday night league a guy bowling next to me left the 6-7-10, then picked up the 7-10 but left the 6 pin.

I live by three simples rules:
1. Don't ever ask about my business
2. Never discuss business at the table
3. Don't ever side with anyone against the family
I got the 2-8-10 once in league by clipping the 2 on the far left side, wrapping it around the 10 and sliding the 10 into the 8. I was pumped after that shot.Originally Posted by GeoLes

The other day, I picked up the following spare : 1 - 2 - 3 - 8 - 9
While normally not very impressive, it was how I picked it up that was interesting.
The ball went straight down the middle, hitting every pin separately as it passed through the two rows after hitting the head pin.
I've picked up the 7-10 3 or 4 times, and one I know of didn't count as a spare since the 5 pin was still standing.
I picked up the Greek Church in a sport league about a month ago. That is probably the biggest I have ever picked up. Other combos of splits I have covered is the 6, 7, 10 and the 4, 7, 10, and the 2, 8, 10. All during league or tournament.
