Bring your other ball with you that like the feel. The pro shop guy can measure it and drill it similar to your new ball.

Regarding the ball hooking at the end, have you tried moving more left to break the hook? I don't use a spare ball anymore. I use the same strike ball for the spare, but play the hook, so I move way left.

i agree with this post i can use my hammer taboo deep purple and pick up ten pins all day increase ball speed and break my wrist =D but to each his own right =D

I checked and my spare conversion percentage has dropped 10% since I quit using a plastic ball.
As for layout, they should drill it to reduce any possible reaction but match the fit of your favorite ball.
