Default PBA Xtra Frame mobile app now available

As of a few days ago, there is a PBA Xtra Frame app available in the App Store for iOS devices, and I believe it is also available on the Android Marketplace.

As soon as I found this out, I subscribed. I already downloaded the app and it seems to work just fine on my iPhone. I would assume it will also work just fine on my iPad; I'll find out after I get home from work. I was a little wary about subscribing because the app is so new and there are no reviews for it yet. But, like I said, it seems to be working just fine. I was just live-streaming the opening round of qualifying from the Masters with no trouble.

Now if only I could watch it on my TV. What are the chances of an Xbox or PS3 app? Slim, I'm guessing.

I'm interested, but wonder what the subscription costs?

I guess if its under $7 I may buy it; assuming it has a number of cool features. I wouldn't want to pay for an app that only offered the same info I can find for free, even if it was a few minutes or hours sooner.

The app is free, but a PBA Xtra Frame subscription is 8 bucks a month.

ah, ok.. so the app alone probably gives you standings and tourney results once they're complete whereas the subscription gives you live updates and other features, right?

I believe with the subscription you can watch live matches.

The subscription gives you access to the PBA's archive of tournament coverage, including qualifying rounds and match play, which you can also live-stream as they are happening. I was watching the final squad of the first day of qualifying at The Masters live on my phone while I was at work earlier tonight.

There are other features that I'm still not familiar with; I mainly got it to watch the qualifying and match play rounds.

The app just allows you to finally watch all this content on an iPhone, iPad, etc.

I am up for the app, but the monthly cost is an issue. I am resistanct to anything with a monthly subscription - just another person to pay every month.
I live by three simples rules:

    1. Don't ever ask about my business
    2. Never discuss business at the table
    3. Don't ever side with anyone against the family

With an Apple TV, you can stream content from your iPhone/iPad to your TV via AirPlay.
