    Default Equipment Help

    Hey all!

I recently stumbled across the Storm Pro Finish Compound. It comes in steps one through three. Unfortunately, I don't know exactly what it's for and how it works. In addition all the descriptions I can find are very vague. So my question is this. What is it for? How is it used? What is the difference between each step?

    Thanks,
    Casey

    What is it used for?
They are finishing compounds used for making adjustments in a ball's surface, they are basically polishes that contain a diminishing abrasive that will resurface the ball while it polishes. They can be used individually or in combination to create different surfaces depending on what the user wants.

    How is it used?
    Here's a example

Steps in Restoring a Storm 1500-grit Polished Factory Finish
    1. 500-grit Abralon® – Sand firmly for 30 seconds on all four sides.
    2. 1000-grit Abralon – Sand lightly for 20 seconds on all four sides.
    3. 2000-grit Abralon – Sand lightly for 20 seconds on all four sides.
    4. 4000-grit Abralon – Sand lightly for 20 seconds on all four sides.
    5. Storm® Step Two™ – Polish lightly for 15 seconds on each side.

What is the difference between each step?

Pro Finish Step 1 220/800 grit, which polishes balls from 220 grit to 800 grit.
Pro Finish Step 2 320/1500 grit, which polishes balls from 320 grit to 1500 grit
Pro Finish Step 3 1500/2500 grit, which polishes balls from 1500 grit to 2500 grit.
