I burned out my arm last week out of nowhere. It doesn't happen often but I sure know when it does. I balled up on the backend and stayed on the same line. Went from a ball that was 60x60 to 60x30. I still had my speed just lost quite a bit of revs. I couldn't stop bowling since I was in league. When you gotta keep going adjust to what you have left don't keep pushing yourself at full power.
I bowl 4 days in a row mon-thrs I do 6 games m-w and 8 on thrusday. Thrusday is when I practice with new layouts and spares. Weekend tourneys 6-10 games and 3-6 more if I make top 6-8. Going at this pace lets you find your long term ablity sure it's less speed and revs than you can but after 6 games with 4 more to go you can attack the lanes that have been opened up. Most guys in long sets are tired the ball is moving early and they have no speed left and will quit aiming. If you save yourself for late games 8-10 you can pick up a little ball speed and still have decent revs to take advantage of the condition.
