i guess the lightbulb came on last night cosmic bowling as i was able to have the high back swing and be able to control it but i wasnt able to add enough revs onto it for it to hook very much

I used to have a high back swing, which reduced my revs. My timing was usually always off. The beginning of this year, I reduced my back swing, but increased the speed of my follow through. I also slowed down my steps in approach. Results was an increase in speed, revs, and timing, which also improved my accuracy. I'm been shoot more 600's in ALL the leagues I bowl in.

May you never bowl in the dark.

I've watched that video a number of times as well...I definitely want to learn that cocked to uncocked release.

It takes quite a bit of practice to get it to be consistent, but if you work at it you can do it. You'll be amazed how much of a difference it can make.
