Default Do you throw your spare shot differently?

I throw it with my palm facing up and just lay it down, so it doesn't move much.

depends on where the pin is. If its on the right side of the lane, I throw a ball with little movement, but on the left side I still have some curve to the ball. For some reason if the pin if left on the left side, I chance guttering it for some reason if trying to throw straight.

If I'm using plastic for the spare I throw it the same. If I'm using a reactive ball then I throw it differently.

I use my strike ball for spares, so depending on the leave I may throw it straight or hook it. When shooting 6's and 10's, I actually produce a slight left-to-right movement. I'm a righty, btw.

For washouts, I stand left and throw it straight at the brooklyn pocket. For buckets and everything to the left of the bucket, I hook it. For 3's and 9's and 3-6-10's I reduce my revs and change my release to throw a slight hook. And for 6's and 10's or 6-10's I throw a back-up ball, but just barely. For leaves near the center of the lane, sometimes I hook it, sometimes I throw it straight; it just depends how I'm feeling at that time.

My goal is to eventually throw it straight at any leave that makes sense to throw it straight at. I'm still working on that.

Depends on the spare. Yes, on 10's I change my release but everything else either using plastic or resin I keep my same swing.

I always throw my strike ball on spares. I'll flatten my wrist out and walk towards the pin I'm shooting at, unless its not a single pin. In this case, I'll line my shot to hook back between the pins to the front, in case I need to kick one to take out a corner or back pin.

I also use my strike ball on spare, even 10 pin spares. I have a weak wrist, so I use a wrist support (Robby Reb's III), so I release the ball the same whether I throw a strike or pickup a spare. I just way left and maybe increase my speed when I go for a 10 pin spare. For 7 pin spares, I normally play a straighter shot to pick it up.

1 & 5 pins I usually hook. Any other single pin I usually go straight, especially at tournaments. Leagues I do whatever tickles me at the time
