Getting on a Summer League?

I wanna get on a summer league I have bowled on one before and I wanna do it again the one where you bowl for a ball or bag or shoes some equal to so much money but that is besides the point the point is my friend dunno if she is going to texas or not for a job and she is the one who is suppose to be on the league with me if she is staying and she don't know yet she don't even know yet if she is staying and that is the point and I think the meeting starts next Tuesday so we are running out of time and she is leaving me hanging cause I really want to bowl this summer for a ball to bowl at the 10 pin cause I am not that accurate with my plastic ball at it either that or take my money and buy me a new ball to bowl at the 10 pin and have bowl for mom a new ball cause she really needs a new one cause she got gypped the pro shop owner hustled her into getting a ball that didn't hook now she throws a back up ball a ball that is not normally thrown now days she was looking at colors he showed her some colors but she told him she wanted one that hooked also the guys name was Tony and he gave her a ball that would not hook well it would hook a little bit but its not an agressive ball like the storm or tropical heat I am not sure wich one she had before the guy sold her the python ball but but out of the snake balls I got the better out of the two the anaconda it just wasn't made for the way I bowled I needed a ball to hook later like the ebonite cyclone ball but the anaconda was a good learning ball to learn to throw a hook with I taught myself no one showed me but now is the time I do need those lessons from chuck anyway I am getting off topic would my friend be able to go to the meeting and bowl until she knows if she staying or going you have to have 4 people on the team so me and her show up the meeting and hope for a team and tell them in advance she may or may not be staying for the full season?

Your friend with the ball that is not hooking may need to take a lesson. Or maybe ask her to join the forum and post a video of her release. There are many problems why a ball will not hook.


In regards to you joining the summer league. You could just join without her. If she stays, that is good. If she doesn't, then you're already set for the league.

Its my mom who want me to bowl for her a new ball cause the ball she got last she bowled for a ball didn't hook the pro shop guy said where I get my ball drilled now where my whole family gets our balls drilled from which is a different bowling alley from where I bowl at because of the mistake and the kid who drilled my moms ball where me and her bowl at drilled it upside down so we had to go to AMF Rose Bowl and pay to have redrilled and chuck the pro shop owner who I had my ball drilled from before and who's dad bowled on my team a year earlier when I bowled at that bowling alley cause I moved to kingpin since it was closer and my family wanted to bowl with me anyway that is besides the point chuck said that it was drilled upside down and the ball wasn't made to hook well he said it would hook a little just not as much as her other ball and what she was wanting and what she asked for was something that did the same thing her other ball did just in another color and I would ask her to join the board but she dunno how to use a computer she don't even know how to turn one on or off I told her I would teach her and how much fun she would have emailing the family and getting on facebook and stuff but she says she don't wanna learn I have no idea why when it combines her two loves in the world reading and tv lol besides me and smoking which is a bad habbit I wish she would give up more then anything she has an electronic one an expensive one and she had it licked when she was in the hospital after our wreck cause she we were in a wreck not long ago and she shattered her wrist and shoulder they had to replace her shoulder and put 8 screws and 2 plates in her wrist and it hurts her bad when the weather changes. My friend is the one who was gonna bowl with me and might go away to Texas for the summer for a babysitting job she is handycapped physically and jobs discrimnate against her and they shouldn't but they do she drives and everything only thing that is wrong with her is that her right side is paralized so she has to wear a brace on her leg and she holds the ball in one hand she bowls pretty good in practice she bowls a strait ball but she bowls pretty good for bowling a straight ball her average isn't very high but I can't see why she bowls better in practice then she does in league from way she talks and when I am with her I mean she bowls good when I am with her she talks like she don't bowl as good as she does like when she's with me. But my mom now she can't bowl yet she can't bowl till probably next year or later in the year more like in the fall well she gonna try well hopefully she be able to if the doctor says its ok.
