Thread: Great Experience!

    Default Great Experience!

Unhappy with the fitment of the two balls purchased here in Tucson at a local house I drove and hour and a half north to Chandler, AZ. to meet with Eric of the David Leverage Pro-Shop inside the local AMF center. I was told that he could solve my issues caused by the uncaring staff of my former retailer.

Eric spent five times the amount of time measuring my span and pitches as the other house did. He was puzzled at how someone "in the business" could get it "so wrong."

He measured, watched me roll a few, and remeasured again. He was courteous, cared about my game, and wanted to ensure my happiness. He will have everything ready for me much more quickly than I expected and suggested lessons with Mr. Leverage to improve my game.

He did so without pressure or making me feel humiliated by my inexperience after 40 years away from the game. I was pleased. So pleased in fact that I took the first step toward solidifying our new business relationship by purchasing a new Roto Grip Defiant Soul to compliment my current 2-ball arsenal!

If you live in the Valley these guys are worth a look.

I guess you will be spreading the word about this place to your bowling friends. Sounds like a good place to go for bowling equipment to get your game started on the right track or alley should I say.

It's just so refreshing to meet someone who's day-to-day charge is to sell things for the benefit of the shop but also places the sport and his customer's needs first.

I'm so stoked to be bowling again and you cannot imagine how disheartening it was to have to stop 10-15 games into practice because blood was running down into the drill holes of my ball.

Yes, it's a 90 minute drive to this shop but the peace of mind is worth it. I can tell you these guys will celebrate every increase in my pin count, my first memorable series, and maybe someday a 300 score because they will know they played a part in it.

    People like that are priceless.

Shops like that are well worth the drive! It's a shame that an industry that is certified has so many pretenders in it. It's the pretenders that give the whole group such a bad rap.

I might be wrong but my opinion is that the difference between the two shops are:

    • Shop A only gives detailed attention to those considered "good customers."
    • Shop B treats everyone as individuals so as to make them "good customers."
    • Shop A looks at THIS sale opportunity.
    • Shop B looks at THIS and all FUTURE opportunities.
    • Shop A probably cares about someone, somewhere enjoying the game although I believe that person is their BANKER.
    • Shop B does everything to ensure that everyone, everywhere enjoys the game WHILE preserving and building this sport through new and returning bowlers, including their BANKER...if their Banker is a BOWLER.
    • Shop A puts money before everything.
    • Shop B understands WITH A CONSCIENCE that WE as consumers understand that money will be spent if we want to buy something but choose to spend it with those who provide great service in return for our hard-earned dollars.

I'm not afraid of spending money but instead I have a fear of wasting it.

My .02 cents worth before I close the book on this chapter.
