Default Adjustments for dry or drying lanes.

Most of the regular bowlers in this forum are familiar with these tactics but it would be handy for newer bowlers. Advanced bowlers may add to the list.
    1. For righties, either move your target arrow two boards to the right, or your approach board two boards to the left. Reverse for lefties.
    2. Bowl with hand more under the ball - less axis.
    3. Try more towards the middle part of the lane - more oil. (Obviously not right down the middle!)
    4. Bowl with more pace - use a strong high follow through.
    5. Get the ball further out on the lane - don't be afraid to give it a little loft.
    6. Try a less aggressive ball other than resin. Urethane, polyester or plastic coverstocks are suitable here.
I'll open it up for other contributors.

If all else fails, roll flat at the 1-3 pocket on an angle. You will probably get some hook anyway. Work with it.
I live by three simples rules:

    1. Don't ever ask about my business
    2. Never discuss business at the table
    3. Don't ever side with anyone against the family

Seems close to what I'm suggesting. I stand with my left instep on 5 board ( counting from right) and throw over 17 - 18 almost flat handed and with big follow through and lift to gain as much pace as I can. Works pretty well on torched lanes.

I move way right (right handed) with both feet and target. I don't mind playing straight up the one board with revs. I usually use the Misfit for this as it's drilled for extra length compared to my other balls.

Depends on the lanes. If it's just the outside that is dry, I move to the inside of the lane (Like tonight). If it's drying up everywhere, I switch balls.

The one day in practice, the lanes were bone dry, I threw my Frantic wrist broken back, pinky spread, index finger in. Hurt like hell, but did the trick.

i bowl second shift league, and i have a really hard time hitting the pocket sometimes.

one advice that i was given by an older leaguer, was.
"keep it with-in the 10 board, dont worry it'll come back."

When the lanes get too dry I'll do or try several different things
first I'll move in deeper on the lane but if it is toasted inside then
I'll shell down on the ball cover until I get down to my plastic ball.

Another thing I might try depending on how dry the lanes are is
breaking back my wrist and pulling my pinky finger in close to
my ring finger and stay flat behind the ball to decrease axis and
    rotation.

Then if the ball is still hooking to much I'll throw it dead flat like
when I'm shooting for a single pin spare off the right hand corner
of the lane at a angle to the pocket using the plastic ball.
