    just my quick 2 cents:

Not withstanding which brand is better argument....it is farily necessary that with today's equipment, you will have to spend some extra time cleaning/de-oiling routinely. Not like the old days where you just shoved your ball into your trunk until next time.

A little dish soap, 5 gal bucket of hot water, 30 minutes and your back on track!

De-oiling isn't to bad, it is just another aspect of the game. I kind of treat it like going out to the range, or any sports equipment. If you want it to last, gotta clean it and get all the crap off of it. As for the color of the DV8's I actually really like them more than other bowling balls. It is probably cause there is more going on with the weird design's. I may be wrong, but the color actually helped me learn how to bowl and see my break point. On my DV8 Brutal Nightmare, I can watch it go down the lane with one color combination and once it flips, it is a different color. Really helped me under stand what my ball was doing.
I am really not a fan of just the solid colors. They are just to bland to me. The only one I really like is the DV8 Mistfit Pearl, Which is an odd color anyway. Maybe it's cause I am part of that new bowling generation but I like my ball being showy and hitting like a truck.
I put it on a different post and not sure if its just a my ball or happens to other bowling ball of different brands. But I have a nice black pattern on my BN from my Black seesaw. If anyone knows whats going on, would love some help.

Very few bowlers around here know what a seesaw is nevermind use one lol. Mine is blue and I have yet to see any color transfer to a ball of any brand.
There is a specific scientific process to extract all color to make black. I don't know for sure but that may be a contributing factor.

Are seesaws that uncommon, or Just normally go by a different name?

I think different parts of the country just refer to them differently...ie, pocket towel, a ball sling, or fabric ball carrier are some slang names that are used. We normally use sling out here in the wild, wild, west. But See Saws are the actual marketing name they go by nowadays.

Around here we have a bunch of 150 average bowlers who think they know everything without doing any research. Every center has these guys but we have a larger percentage. Combine that with high unemployment (18%) and very low pay scale the ones willing to learn don't have the funds to try different things.
My seesaw came with my first ball.

i have to agree with what was said earlier in regards to the sound a dv8 makes when it hits the pocket. in all honesty, i thought i was just hearing things or making it up in my head.

side note: i think the colors they are using are absolutely amazing!!! actually brings some "life" to bowling.
