I don't even know...

Okay, so last night I went bowling since it was 7 dollars for unlimited bowling from 7-11p at my local center. The past few weeks have been spent going on Thursdays getting ready for summer league as I have been out of the game for awhile due to work and school. Over the past month or so, I've seen my average jump from 130-ish to sub 200 in a three game series. But, last night...was a completely different story. I don't know what was going on. Split, after split, after split. Most of them were simple easy pick ups...but then there were two...

Pickup # 1...It was about the 5th frame in my second game, my ball grabbed early and left a 6-7-10. I was in a ballsy mood last night, so I went for it. I picked up my spare ball, and heaved it. Clipped the 6 pin, shot it across, hit the 7, and picked up the spare. Round of applause #1 from the league bowlers just a few lanes down from me.

Pick #2...From the time it left my hand I knew it was going to be disasterous. I was about 5 boards inside of my mark, very little rotation, and it just blew through the rack. Left the big four. As I stood there (by this point, I had racked up about 12 splits across 4 games...we're in game 5) I looked at my friend and had the look on my face of, "what the hell is going on tonight." I picked up my spare ball and lined up to just pick up the 6-10 and cut my losses. But then I looked back about a year ago where I nearly picked up a 7-10 with my 2nd strongest strike ball. I thought about it, put back my spare ball, grabbed my Brunswick Rattler, and lined up for the 4-7. I had picked up this side of the big four before with this ball, so I knew I was going to get atleast two. I lined up, and once again, heaved it. Clipped the 4, knocked down the 7, 4 comes back across and takes out the 6-10. Massive round of applause.

I quit after that. Lol.

So yeah...was a terrible night of bowling, but yet I picked up two of the toughest spares. I wish I had gotten them both on video...or atleast just the big four.
