Default Storm Lights Outs by Storm Staffer Scott Widmer

    My Lights Out Layout: 60 degrees x 4 5/8" x 2 1/2"

When the Lights Out was first announced I was pretty excited to give it a try. Having loved the way my Fast rolled I was sure this was going to be an instant favorite given they shared the same Turbine core. The only difference being the R2S hybrid on the Lights Out versus the R2S pearl which covered the Fast. The Lights Out was definitely getting the same layout as my Fast.

Once I had the chance to throw the Lights Out I saw the same roll that I had with my Fast and a ball which provided a strong reaction off of the dry boards down lane and tremendous continuation. The R2S hybrid cover provides good length in addition to its strong reaction to friction.

Storm intends for the Lights Out to be a replacement and performance upgrade to the Black/Silver Tropical Heat hybrid and that is exactly what the Lights Out provides. Anyone who loves their Tropical Heat hybrid but is ready for a fresh piece to replace it needs to take a look at the Lights Out.

Conditions I have used the Lights Out on: 40' THS, 42' THS, Bourbon Street (40')

Where it fits in my bag: The Lights Out fits just about the same place in my bag as the Freak'n Frantic as far as strength goes but is the ball I will go to when I need that extra kick off the dry. It's just below my IQ Tour/IQ Tour Pearl/Reign of Power and just above my Black/Cherry Tropical Breeze.

When I use it: When I want to start in the track on a house pattern or medium length challenge pattern. Later in a block when other balls are quitting on me downlane.

Scott..... The reaction on the "lights Out" looks very similar to the reaction of my Roto Grip Shatter. I've been a very strong Brunswick equipment shooter for about 20 years, but I've gotta say, I love that Shatter. They make excellent equipment. 1 300, several 700+ series, and I can say there were only a couple of times this past season where I had to put the ball away.
