 Motiv Tank Review

							Bowler Stats-Ball Speed 15.5 MPH Rev Rate-App 280 Axis of Rotation-30
to 60 degrees Axis Tilt 9 degrees Right Handed PAP-5 over, 1/4" up
The Motiv Tank is designed for "high friction lanes" (dry) according
to Motiv. The full description says "Armored with our new Ballistix™
Urethane cover, The Tank™ is sanded to a 2000 grit finish. Allying
this finish with the low RG / low Diff Gear™ core, this machine is
put into motion early, driving down the lane with powerful control
and smooth predictability. It hits the pins with a devastating
impact."
The ball is as advertised. It pushes through the heads with ease.
revs up early in the mid lanes and make a strong continuous arc
ove all the way through the pin deck. The core/cover
combo allows me to play up the boards in the very driest of house
shots. I am someone who prefers keeping the ball in front of me so
this ball was easy for me to work with once I became confident that I
could carry with Urethane. The core works amazingly well with this
cover. The core of the Ball, Diff Gear, is a low RG ball that wants
to roll early. If I tug the ball into the soup the ball skates a
small bit but the cover and the core allow it to continue to read the
lane. It is a great ball for me late in long tournaments squads or
outside the oil line on house shots.
If you use this ball as designed, in high friction environments, it
will be a very effective ball. With the Tank Motiv created another
piece of my standard tournament arsenal.
I'm very colorblind but the Neomark Graphic makes the ball very
pleasing to the eye and give it good shelf appeal, the Tank logo
looks awesome on the camouflage ball, and $5 of each ball goes to the
Wounded Warrior Project.
