I wouldnt worry about a deep clean. work on getting the ball off your thumb while following through with your fingers

Open up a curtain and lay the ball in a sunny spot on the floor. If it gets greasy after about 10 minutes yeah you have a ton of oil in there. DV8s soak up oil like crazy. My version of a deep cleaning involves a hair dryer and a styrofoam ice chest. Heat it up in there then wipe off the oil with a towel with plain ol' alcohol.

I second the hair dryer method. It gets oil off fast, but if the ball already has too much oil in the coverstock, you may need to do a method to get the fresh oil off, then a deep cleaning to get the rest out.

Wow would the ball really get to that point of not doing anything and throwing off my game that fast? I sat them in my garage the other day cuz it's always hot in there in the summer but we got a cool front "thank god" come in and it's been super nice in there :/ ha ha ha

How is your release? Is your thumb exiting the thumb hole before your fingers?

possibly extreme carry down? Either way you really have nothing to lose by trying a deep clean whether giving it a bath or hot hair method

I'd have to go with what the others have said about
doing a deep cleaning on the ball or even have your
Pro shop operator or if you have your own ball spinner
do a full re-surface on it.

You said that you got it back in February well lets see
that is 4 months ago and with 3 games a week in league
that makes 48 league games on it.

Then with say only 3 practice games a week not counting
that it may be up to 10 practice games that is another 48
games on it at least so at the minimum it is 96 games on it
and possibly it has up to 208 games on it over the 4 month
    time frame.

So yeah I'd have to say at least a deep cleaning is in order
but a re-surface should restore the hook as the factory says
a ball should be re-surfaced every 60 games or there abouts.
