Default What is the dumbest thing you have seen on the laner

There were four teenagers in the lane adjacent to me. One guy was trying to spin the ball. He grabbed an eight pound ball trying to put as much spin as possible, and accidentally pitched the ball over two gutters into the next lane. Striking the arm ar the end of a sweep, and pushing the ball back up the lane to the foul line.

    It was stupid.

I've seen a lot of stupid things, some of which were my fault. A couple months ago I was trying to show my friend how to do a 4 step approach. The problem was I was holding my ball at the time and released it since it was natural. The ball landed in the gutter on the lane next to us, which was off, then bounced and rolled over the ball return cover into our gutter.

Once in league someone dropped the ball during their approach and it rolled down another lane.

I've seen people walk down the gutter themselves trying to receive balls.

There's always that one kid at birthday parties that even the bumper can't help and they either hit the bumper head on and knock it down or they throw the ball on top of the bumper.

Then there's my friend. He's thrown light balls over halfway down the lane, almost hitting the ceiling. He's also dropped an entire 32oz drink in the settee area.

The stupidest thing I've seen at the alley: a guy in his twenties walks in, sees half the lanes in use, approaches the counter and asks, "Are you open?" Duh, here's your sign

Don't forget the lady engrossed in converstion on the cell phone walking the entire length of the lanes of the approach to get to her assigned lane, oblivious or everyone around her,

being followed by 4 kids, almost like a parade

with an apologetic husband bringing up the rear. - poor guy.

Wow... takes the cake on the kid that bowled a strike throwing it granny and then repeated it his next frame. Next thing you know, all of his buds are trying the same thing.

Also have seen a toddler (bowling bumpers and with a ball ramp) make it about 1/3 of the way down the lane chasing her ball before her mother knew what was happening.

I have seen one older kid stroll down the lane for his brother's stalled ball. The younger kid walked part way down the lane and the older kid rolled the ball back to him. All while the adults sat and chatted about who know what.

I was on my way out and noticed it. I pointed it out to the desk. The manger walked over and said something to the adults, who became angry.

Not at the kids, but at the manager. She later came to the desk and gave him an earful of verbal abuse.

The smart manager held his tongue. Listened to her. Then remined her of ths safety rules and liability. She late apologized.

Saw a drunken teenager/college kid run down the lane and throw himself into the rack.

Got hurt pretty good, as I recall, cut the hell out of his shoulder and head.

    Epically stupid.
