Default Time to test the knee six months after knee surgery.....

I had arthroscopic knee surgery on my right knee which happens to be my sliding leg. I want to try out at least one game to see if it can take it. I don't want to push it and try three games and find out I should have stuck with one game first. I am sure that I will be a little paranoid at first because I don't know what to expect. I have to do this because our new bowling season starts in September and I don't want to miss it. The last time I bowled was around January 20th. I will be a little rusty for sure. I have been making dry runs in my house where I set myself up as if I just completed throwing my ball and I am in my finished pose with right knee bent and balance leg behind me and balance arm to the side. My knee seems to handle the weight okay but I have to see if it can handle ten frames of that. If I get no strikes that means at least twenty times of doing that finish pose. I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Good luck...welcome back to the game.

PLEASE don't push too hard...just because a game has 10 frames doesn't mean you have to bowl all of them if something doesn't feel right.

Just as classygrenny said you do not have to finish the game if it
doesn't feel right I know from experience.

The first time I came back to bowling I only did about 4 or 5
frames and decided something just didn't feel right so I just
quit in the middle of the game until I worked out what was
    going on with my knee.

I will not take any chances if something doesn't feel right. I am just going to take it easy and do one game and see how my knee feels afterwards. It will probably feel sore for sure until it gets used to that movement. I will just have to take it frame by frame and do what my body tells me.
