Description: Fusion Pearl Reactive Coverstock + V2 Core = Primal Rage. Out of box the ball sits at 1500 polished. The Primal Rage newest Primal of the Primal series that showcases phenomenal angularity and continuation. The Fusion Reactive Coverstock is the same cover that was used on the Talon. I refer to mine as the watermelon. Why? Because the ball itself is blood red but the M logo is green, so to me it looks like a watermelon.
Reaction: The first time I got to throw this ball was on a burnt open play pair, I wanted to test the angularity of the Rage so I’m standing 35 and going out 10 and I saw the strength of the ball. The ball never lost energy throughout its entire motion, fierce continuation. The Primal Rage clears easily and once it finds what its looking for it rolls over into that continuous motion through the deck, if you want to create/play extreme angles this ball with definitely allow you to do it.
Conditions
THS (38 feet): I was in my comfort zone all night standing 25 targeting 15. The only moved my target the entire night from 15 to ten but I was still standing at 25. This ball feeds on friction and THS has plenty of it, you can get as deep as you want with this one without fearing that it won’t recover.
Paris Pattern (47 feet): A pearls natural enemy is oil but this can also be turned into strength, the rage did absolutely nothing until it reached the last 13 feet of the lane. I was able to feed the ball into the oil and it would sit there until it encountered friction. Teamwork makes the dream work and work the Rage did. I’m all about results and apparently so is the Rage.
Summary: Truth is that I have not enjoyed a Motiv ball this much since the great pumpkin (Orange Recon). Primal Rage lives up to the hype and expectations of being everything MOTIV said it would be. Its definitely worth your time and will quickly earn a spot in your bag.
