Thursday Men's League: THS
587 Series: 231-242-114
Completely whiffing on a 3-6 spare conversion in the 5th cost me 12 pins and a clean game...but 231 was the highest score I had shot in that league, this season...and the highest since late July.
Game 2 I made a couple bad shots that resulted in spares...but then ran 7 strikes together until paying maximum penalty for a miss right...ending up with a 2-8-10 split that I couldn't convert.
On the first shot of Game 3, it looked like maybe the lanes were transitioning. I moved inside and made a decent shot in the 2nd frame...but it barely struck...so I figured that was a good time to ball down....figured the ball might be burning out. Well, a combination of bad shots and the ball change not being ideal...then a missed 10-pin in the 9th...my worst game in a long, long, long time.

A couple encouraging games. Might be the result of switching to my Grudge Hybrid as my lead/starting ball versus the Aura Mystic. I was needing to keep a fresh 800 surface on the Mystic and put a 3000/R. Compound surface on the Grudge Hybrid in order for the Mystic to hook sooner...and once that 800 surface started to wear down...it would mess up my progression. So, instead of trying to fight the technology, I figure I'll switch the Mystic and Grudge Hybrid in the progression...put a 2000 matte on the Grudge Hybrid...put a 1000/R. Compound surface on the Aura Mystic...and that should at least fix the progression problem.
