I didn't really need to know that...

I took a few Yoga classes and our yoga teacher recommended Back Care Basics by Mary Pullig Schatz as a good reference preventing a recurrence. As long as I do my exercises at least every other day I'm good.

Position Round #1...bowling a team we're tied with, but they have two 200+ average bowlers...so it could be a blowout.

Week 11

Shoulda known it was going to be a struggle with the Black Widow Hybrid...I wasn't having the greatest of luck with it in warm-ups. But, I chalked it up to just poor accuracy and shot-making. But, could NOT find a consistent line the whole game. FOUR pocket corner pin leaves. Made a couple bad shots, but didn't deserve a 148.

Mad the switch to the Ebonite Fireball to start Game 2. Still wasn't striking consistently, but I was making some bad misses right...so it was more my fault than the line. When I hit my mark, I struck. Switched to the Force Pearl in the 8th after leaving a left side bucket despite not missing my mark by much.

The lanes were transitioning like mad. Affecting the other team as well. Obviously, four splits are not going to help one score well. Just abysmal night.

- Not sure if my recent resurfacing of the BWH caused it to behave this badly...or the lanes...or what.

As to my back...yeah, it felt better late Saturday. So, I figured I'd be fine bowling tonight. What annoys me is...I have 2 massage chairs in my basement. I could have used them to help with my back...but I forgot they were down there until my back was already feeling better!

Wednesday Night Established Men's League

Week 12

Currently holding onto 2nd place.

Couldn't carry with the Black Widow 2.0, so I switched to the Fireball in the 3rd. Lost the line in the 8th/9th..and was really ticked about the 10-pin in the 9th...because that was one of my better shots.. But, I re-established the line in the 10th to finish strong.

Switched to the Pyramid Force in the 7th. Good game, just not a 'great' game.

Had a few "beer frames" last night...which caused me to be a little more "buzzed" than normal. But, I managed to make most of my spares to hit my average.

- Two nights in a row (Sunday/Wednesday) and no back issues.

- The Black Widow Hybrid 2.0 (BWH2) continues to have carry issues outside 2nd arrow.

Overall a decent night. Disappointed that the (BWH2) has issues outside of 10. The usual dilemma...move into 11-12 and it doesn't have enough to get back strong...but if you get out in the 8-9 area; you just leave 10-pins and 2-pin combos. I tried to take some surface off and put a 1000/2000/polish on it...but it seems to be just a 'little' too strong.

Sunday Night Established Mixed League

Facing a team with one more win than we had. One of the 4 is the captain of my Wednesday team and a pretty consistent high 160s to low 190s average. Their anchor is an experienced bowler, a really nice guy, who routinely bowled in the high 170s to high 190s.

Week 12

669 Series: 230-212-227 (clean)

Started with the Black Widow Hybrid 2.0 (BWH2), but needed to focus on getting the ball out on the lane with a small amount of loft. Was ticked that I missed a clean game by chopping a vert makable 6-10 spare.

Stuck it out with the BWH2, but lost the line around the 7th frame and shoulda made a ball change earlier. Finally switched to the Force Pearl (FP) on the fill shot of the 10th. Another chopped spare (4-7) I shoulda converted...but it was the 6-7-10 split in the 9th that really hurt my score.

Pretty much completely lined up for nearly the entire game. I dropped the ball in the gutter in the 3rd...and had an unlucky pocket 10 leave in the 2nd...but the line was working right up until the 9th, when it was clear I needed to make a slight move left.

- The game is so much more manageable when you can strike on over 60% of the shots.
- Team took 3 out of 4 points and should move up the standings.
- Perfect on single-pins for the night.
- Always a good night if I can get a clean game.

Negatives
- 25% on mulit-pin leaves is just unacceptable.
- Despite the good night...I missed out on the $199 Strikeamania pot due to the pocket 10-pin leave in the 2nd frame of Game 3.

I was motivated more so than usual because I didn't want to suck in front of my Wednesday captain and their anchor....and I'll always take a 650+ night with a clean game.
