Thread: Balls have a short life cycle

Default Balls have a short life cycle

The Hell Raiser Revenge came out last year and everyone was saying it was the best ball ever.

Now they don't even make it anymore.

I've noticed that some do and some don't. I am not sure of the exact reason behind this, but companies will keep doing it as long as technology keeps advancing and there is a demand.

Yea it's sad that balls come and go so fast sometimes. My buddy sold me his old 15lb Nomad Pearl and now he misses it and wants to buy a new one but can't find one anywhere. He's written mails to pro shops all over Europe

I guess the other side of it is, no matter how great a ball is, there's always new releases out that are just as good (or better).

true. Im not sure if this is something that has been done as a recent thing but they make "new" balls every 4-6 months it seems.

at least theres still plenty of nib hell raisers around though

Bowling balls are a piece of technology.
Technology is always rapidly growing = more balls!

    Reminds me of cell phones.

It's all about the abralon now.

I find balls only last 160 games (that is with 3 resurfaces) and then I am leaving it at the alley and moving onto the next ball.

I've got a few reactives with 300+ games and a dozen refinishes on them, still roll like new. All depends on the goo they made 'em with.
