When the economy tanked in 2008 I quit bowling after bowling 15 years straight on a league. I went from first league average of 118 to my last book average of 2008-2009 was 202 and I carried 200+ average from 2006-2009. 2006-2007: 203, 2007-2008: 209, 2008-2009: 202. Well I missed bowling a ton the last 4 years. Things, financially, have gotten better for me and I am back to bowling. Started a Tuesday night Men's league on synthetic lanes and then an every other Saturday league on wood lanes. First night out on Tuesday I shot a 435 and then came back on Saturday with a 627. Great to be back to bowling. My ball is a bit outdated and is now at the pro shop getting cleaned up so hopefully I can get a few more games out of it - plan to get the Hammer First Blood around December unless something else comes out by then. Then I think I will use my current Ebonite One on the wood lanes and the First Blood on the synthetic lanes. I was looking for reviews of the First Blood when I found this site. I am on several motorcycle forums - ride as much and often as I can street and track and sometimes woods (dirt) so I thought I would try a bowling forum.

Novi Bowl and Plaza (Plymouth)
I am a west sider. My wife is an east sider. We live on the west side though so I bowl out here. I do frequent the east side quite a bit.
My girlfriend lives in Novi/Northville, so I'm pretty familiar with the area
It's funny Novi Bowl is still old wood lanes and Plaza is new synthetic - totally different shots. I dig it. Like the challenge. Just picked up my ball from the pro shop and omg it looks brand new. Got some life left in it to get me through December until Iceman delivers a new ball, lol.
