My experience with my Endless Nightmare. Beast on a fresh lane, not so beast on a not so fresh lane. But a great ball nonetheless!
Hello everyone, I currently have a DV8 brutal nightmare, Which i have to say i REALLY like, under the right conditions of course....I also have a older columbia 300 action packed, which comes in handy when the lanes are dry because i cant keep the brutal on the right side of the head pin on dry lanes lol. but i have to be damn near perfect in throwing it or else good luck where with the brutal i an miss my mark be couple boards off and it will come back everytime... Ive noticed some nights (brutal nightmare) my ball rolls just like i want but some shots its like it his a dry spot and MAN that thing makes a turn like ive never seen and leaves solid 10pin or worse....Not to mention they both have totally different reactions on the lanes...
A guy on my team noticed that my ball reacts to the lanes really quick sometimes...not sure what that means..But i know alot of people at my ally use polished or pearl type balls....Im wondering would this be a good change for me. like the storm byte or hammer cold blood....then the endless is sanded and ive never thrown a ball like that either but i love my brutal so i considered that too. which do u think would work best....i have medium-med fast ball speed but low to medium rev rate....thanks

maybe look into a medium range ball to balance out between your brutal and your dry ball?

The Endless Nightmare is a hybrid reactive ball, and it's much stronger than the Brutal. I have the Endless myself, and it hooks like a monster. I would say your better bet for a stepdown not so aggressive ball would be between the Byte or Cold Blood. I've never thrown anything other than brunswick and DV8, but I know those two are pearl reactive, and wouldn't be a bad idea to add one of those two in your bag. It's your decision, so I'll leave it up to you. Just here to admonish.
My bowling balls include:
Brunswick Brute Strength, Brunswick Mastermind Genius, DV8 Endless Nightmare, DV8 Diva, DV8 Diva Pearl, DV8 Marauder Mutiny, & Brunswick White Viz-A-Ball spare ball
I would recommend the marauder, it has given this guy most of my 700 series games!! Its a pretty good price now too on bowlingboard.com!
Don't walk on Thin Ice!
Go for a more medium pearl maybe? Byte will be pretty aggressive

I have owned Brunswick a long time ago, then tried Columbia, and now dv8...I know dv8 and Brunswick are related lol. but all have been polished. never thrown anything different so i was wondering if maybe a pearl would give me the length my brutal does once the lanes dry but still turn hard in the backend. My problem now is once it dries up it hits my spot and makes to hard of a turn. i adjust and leave 10s.
No, im open to try something new. I really do like my Brutal andd would get another DV8 ball. But im open to all and any other suggestions. I have looked at the marauder and was curious if it will hook like i want or will it just skid down the lane and never move....Ive had that problem for a while. only thing that work was to move way right and throw down almost the side of the gutter for it to come back lol. So i decided to try a heavy oil ball and been pretty successful. Guessing it has to do with my med to fast ball speed and not a killer amount of revs. idk
Thanks for all the replies BTW
