All depends on the ball and lane oil pattern. One surface finish isn't a match for all balls.
For me its prob 4000 grit sanded. It usually the right amount of length and hook that fits my game that i have applied to all my balls with great success
Honorable mention 1500 grit polished(seems to be similar to 4000 grit sanded but with a bit more length and angularity)
Dishonorable mention 4000 grit polished(too much length even with a low RG solid)
