Monday Nite Mixed 04-14-2014

game 1 = 211 - more oil than usual so I was searching but kept clean and picked up my spares.

game 2 = 255 - Moved left and opened up the lanes

game 3 = 246 - carry was great. did miss a 10 pin.

series = 712

League Average = 212

** Started off the night pulling the ball left a bunch for some reason in first game so to correct this I started swinging it more which got my arm motion back and that seemed to work. Second 700 series in a row and am throwing the ball well. All with the Hyper Cell.

game 1 = 215 - nothing great

game 2 = 233 - strung some strikes

game 3 = 181 - Could not string strikes together and had a nice 7-10 pocket hit

series = 629

** We bowled on the last pair of the house which most people don't like. We took 16 of 24 points and kept our 4th spot in the standings heading into the last week with position round.

game 1 = 234 -

game 2 = 202 - missed 2 10 pins

game 3 = 226 - Finished with 5 strikes

series = 662

League Average = "216"

** Last week of bowling which was position round. We were in 4th and half point out of 3rd. Bowled scratch against 3rd place team which seems rare. It was a tough series and they ended up getting 13 points to our 11. We ended up keeping our 4th place finish out of 24 teams. Team got over $800 for 4th place for second half of season.

Monday Nite Mixed 04-21-2014

game 1 = 223 - Potluck before bowling.

game 2 = 183 - cookies starting to turn stomach

game 3 = 204 - being dumb I get more cookies!!!

series = 610

League Average = 211

**Last week of Monday nite league. This league was hard for me because it's a "fun" league with older bowlers and low averages. I tend to lose my concentration at times. I will need to find some way to keep my head in the game next year. All in all not bad 211 average to start my bowling up again. Wednesday league I ended up with a 216 but better competition.

* First time bowling on a sport pattern and it was mentally draining. After first game I started getting a lot of washouts. I'm practicing shooting spares more direct and of course you almost have to on these patterns. Guy on my team shoots 245 2nd game then 125 3rd game. So yeah pretty unforgiving.

The old guy dipped into the fountain again and shot 716 to win Wednesdays League Sweepers.
I tried to dethrone him, but came up a bit short with 707.

** I'm slowly starting to get a little better on the patterns. this is my first time on sport shot so it's a deep learning curve. At least my average is going up and not down.

** Pretty easy lanes and I didn't move one board the whole night. Maybe it just seemed easy because it wasn't a sport shot. I also had a clean 30 frames with the highlights of picking up a 4-9.
