** Tonight was a grind. Ball speed and deliver were just off. When I did throw a good shot I was not carrying. Not too many high scores on my pair.

League Average = 220 after 18 games

** 3rd 700 series this league already.

Monday Nite Mixed 09-30-2014

game 1 = 159 - Eh! mind was not on bowling for some reason. missed 3 10 pins

game 2 = 215 - starting to focus

game 3 = 258 - Focused

series = 632

League Average = 214

** Had problems getting focused tonight resulting in missed spares. Carry sucked first 2 games.

game 3 = 242 - big split in 10th

League Average = 223 after 21 games

** Having problems with 10 pins so I decided not to leave anymore after 1st game.

I like that plan they are much easier to pickup if you never leave them. Nice bowling

Thanks guys. I have had trouble lately with 10 pins. It's really the only shot that I try to throw at a certain board for. I think I'm losing focus on my target board on my approach. I probably need to get some practice in.

Something that has worked for me recently, Rob Mautner posted in another thread about targeting at the pin rather than a board on the lane. I tried it and have gone 18 of 19 on the 10 pin since changing over to target the pin. 100% on all other single pins. It really does work.

Yeah, I read that and have not tried it yet. I think I will give it a shot in my monday league warmups. It feels weird though looking that far for target. So you just stare at the pin the whole approach etc..

In my typical approach, I watch my target until about half way through and then let my body take over. Works great.
