I learned something new today about jasper conglomerate and although it wasn't bowling related it was of quality content.

If I won this ball I would get it engraved with SWEET then I could say dude what does my ball say and my team mate could say "SWEET".

And I could definitely bowl a 900 series with this ball.

I bowled against a guy on Saturday with "Butch" (also his name) engraved on his ball. I knew who he was and knew he was standing right there but also knew he had no idea who I was - because anyone who isn't Butch doesn't exist in his world and yes he speaks in 3rd person - so I walked up and I said who the hell gets their name engraved on their ball nowadays that is so 1970. The look on his face was priceless and then he got mad about it telling me that's my ball with a rude look. It was a good way to get off on the right foot, lol. He's a jerk anyways.

So true. Of course the balls one the rack now are more than just black, black, and black. I still occasionally get my name ingraved but more out of nostalgia than anything else. Heck most pro shops don't even ask about doing it anymore.
