Thread: bowling better at one centre than another. is it pyshcolgical?

    It's virtually impossible for an athlete to be at his or her best in every competition. I think that many of us, subconsciously, perform at a lower level when either faced with an easier opponent, or easier conditions.

    There is also a difference in the synthetic lanes some are a softer material then others and gives you a differant reaction

    Default Wooden Lanes in Kansas City Missouri??????

    Sicne I am pretty new to bowling, I have yet to bowl on wooden lanes! Anyone know of any wood around my part of the woods!! (no pun intented lol)!

    Retro bowl in Liberty may have wood lanes, Also there ball returns are still on top of the lanes, that bothers some people.

    they are systhetic also... I bowled there a while back with Jason on a short summer sports pattern shoot out!
    it was there that I bowled a half dozen sports patterns, including the U.S. Open!

    It was a once a week, winner takes all pot! Each week a different pattern. Yes they do have the above lane ball returns, but the lanes are not wood anymore.

    I think they are becoming as rare as the dinosaurs!!
