Drilled it pin down, supposedly for good carry. Well it's got that! It carries right through the break point!!
    Any thoughts?
500, 2000-grit would be a good place to start, it should read the friction better at the breakpoint.

Sand 4 ways thoroughly with the first grit (500) and sand two ways quickly with the second grit (2000)

Right handed Stroker, high track ,about 13 degree axis tilt. PAP is located 5 9/16” over 1 3/4” up.Speed ave. about 14 mph at the pins. Medium rev’s.High Game 300, High series 798

it is almost impossible to duplicate the exact factory finish on a new ball. as a result every new ball i drill hits the spinner before I throw it. initially i will put the factory finish on it IE> 2000+polish, that way if i like it I can reproduce that finish every time i touch the ball. At that point after throwing i will adjust surface as nescessary

Well tried the 500, 2000-grit with a light coat of polish (B. Royal Shine) wasn't bad. The ball had a nice smooth reaction, took a little bit of angle off it and was just a little earlier on the lane also.

Going leave it at that for a while to see how it does.

Which ball did you do this combo on?

I used it on my Nomad Dagger, it's OOB is 1500 polish but I normally use a P800 base grit with a light coat of polish on it.
