Buddies Winter Challenge Week 12, 11/24/25
Pattern: 2025 Open Championship (doubles & singles) 43'
Scores:
204, 112, 212, total 528
First game was pretty solid, one open on a split. I was bowling against a good young bowler who was subbing and was pleasantly surprised to be up by 27 after game one. We moved pairs and I promptly dumped the first ball in the gutter, made the spare. things went down hill from there, a missed ten pin, at least one split and three washouts...
Moved to 41-42, made a fairly good guess as to where to move, won the game by 13.
By the way there were some very high scores this week as well as a bowler who had 8 in a row to start a game, a guy who had the front 9 and his opponent who went X, -/, 8/ X,X,X,X,X,X,X,X,X to win.

Great Job!!
Its weird how on some sport/challenge patterns....bowlers tend to do well and then some patterns nearly everyone does poorly. I've always heard the USBC Open patterns are some of the hardest patterns to bowl on, even harder than the PBA patterns in most cases.
In Bag:
(: .) Black Widow Hybrid 2.0;
(: .) Ebonite Fireball;
(: .) Brunswick Endeavor;
(: .) Pyramid Force Pearl; (: .) C300 White Dot
USBC#: 8259-59071; USBC Sanctioned Average = 191; Lifetime Average = 173;
Ball Speed: 14.3mph; Rev. Rate: 245rpm || High Game (sanc.) = 300 (290); High Series (sanc.) = 725 (720); Clean Games: 211
Smokey this is not 'Nam', this is bowling. There are rules. Proud two-time winner of a bowlingboards.com weekly ball give-away!
