    Buddies Winter challenge 9/23/19
Pattern: Junior Gold U17 Rose (50’)
    Scores: 173, 183, 174

The main difference this week was not quite figuring out one lane on each pair. The only doubles were in the tenth frame of the second and third game.

Just not sharp tonight, didn’t throw with any real confidence until the tenth frame of the second game.

Spare shooting was still atrocious the first two games. Last would have been clean except for yanking the first ball in the tenth for a 3-6-7-10 split and then missing right to only get the 6 & 10 pins.

    Buddies Winter Challenge League. 10/21/19
    Pattern: Bowl 35’
    Scores: 206, 176, 157

Missed last week. Started with a spare, missed ten pin, guttered on a 6-7-10, then shot five strikes, and finished without another open. First two games I could miss a bit right and still make it back. Last game anything right would read too early and die.

Lost my recap sheet from last week, but as the saying goes, it was nothing to write home about.
First two games this week were decent, at least compared to the bowlers I was crossing with. The last pair we were on seemed to favor the people who really like to swing the ball wide and have it snap back.

Evidently my sub for last week showed up at the alley but didn’t remember he was supposed to bowl for anyone.
Spare shooting was really inconsistent, missed some pins by several inches, missed a couple of washouts by about a half inch, and others were dead on.

    Buddies Winter Challenge league
Pattern: same as last week I think
    Scores: 179, 170, 134

Tye first two games were okay. The last game got into one of those situations one lane played faster than the other so you’d finish on the left lane and your letter would be up on the right, then you have to wait for the other 5 bowlers to finish on the left before bowling again.

First two games were solid, only one open and that was a 3-10 split in the ninth frame of game two. Timing or focus went out of whack the last game and this pair wasn’t nearly as forgiving as the first pair we were on.

Missed the last four weeks, one for a meeting and then recovering from a minor heart attack.
In hindsight, I should have either moved a lot further inside or tried the one remaining ball in my bag. Felt good to be back.

Not horrible considering I had not bowled on a sport pattern since early 2020. I was subbing for a friend and bowled these four games after bowling three games in my regular league late afternoon.
