Had the 4th of July and came back last night with a 803 4 game set, Low 165 and high of 233. Still liking the "Dead Man's Curve"

Decent night. Faced subs both sets. Won the first game and the last game of the night good enough to take wood both sets.

P.s. Couldn't figure out how to get my Ipod to copy what I wanted from my previous post so I replied with quote and edited the quote.

    Pattern: Cheetah
    Set 1: 169, 166
    Set 2: 143, 136
Missed way too many spares. Was lucky to take the last game and wood for the second set.

Still missing way too many spares. I think part of the problem is my spare ball, a Storm Mix, is hooking a little bit because of the short pattern. So shots that are pulled just a little bit , that would normally just clip the pin are missing by a board. Then I over correct for the hook and miss the other way.

    Buddies Summer Challenge League 8/14/17

Could not bowl this week because I had a meeting to attend. Got there just in time to see the kid subbing for me get beat by Nicole Trudell in the last game of the second set by one pin.

I finished my summer sport league with a 187 which is within 10 of my regular average. Also took league high game with 279. Lot of fun and will definitely do it again next summer.

    Buddies Summer Challenge league. 8/21/17

    Pattern: Scorpion

    First Set: 177, 171
    Second Set: 194, 201

First set was decent, only lost the first game by six pins. My opponent got it together and beat me by 36 the next.
Second set I did the sweeping.

    Buddies summer challenge league 8/28/17

    Pattern:?

    Set 1: 183, 179

    Set 2: 191, 151

First set was just good enough to win the second game and take wood.

Second set I think I got frustrated because every one else was getting strikes, most of them Brooklyn, and I wasn't.

    Buddies Winter Challenge League
Pattern: Junior Gold U17 Rose (50ft.)
    Scores: 180, 186, 190, 556 series

This was actually the second week of the season. I was pleasantly surprised to be in 6th place out of 26 after the first week since all I had said to Chris was “sign me up and and I’ll get the money for the first week to you later”. Not only did I get signed up, he also got one of his employees from the pro shop to sub for me.

The format this season is one against the field. In other words, you get a point for each bowler that you beat, and everyone moves one pair to the right after each game. Not my favorite format since you’re competing on different pairs and the part of the house where we’re assigned is noted for having couple tricky lanes and the way we switch means that everyone will get at least one “bad” pair, but 5 people will get both bad pairs each week.

Nice scores for a 50 ft. pattern! I've been on one, and they're tough.
