I appreciate the advise. I look forward to more lessons with my coach and hope to continue improving. I am going to join my first league in Jan and my goal is to get to a 180 average by the end. Practice, practice, practice...
Pauly, it's tough to tell you a lot from two shots of behind the butt footage, but here it goes:
As has been said already: loosen up. Your arm swing, while very focused, looks extremely tense. I'm a big proponent of a relaxed swing and release. "Wrist turn" would be difficult to really discern from the angle in these videos, but it does seem a but forced.
The things you listed as working on all seem to be pretty spot on, I'd say you're in the right track. Your mechanics need work but for your experience level I'd say you're doing great!

The best advice is advice that works! I went bowling tonight with a friend and after warming up focusing on relaxing my arm swing I noticed I was hitting my mark more consistently, and getting more revs. Its not perfect by any means, but it is better.
What followed was my first 600+ series even with 2 open 10 frames
Again thanks for the advice and more practice to come...
Not sure why the picture isn't showing, I'm doing this from my tablet. In case you can't view, it is a screenshot of my PinPal app showing a 622 series.
Well done and nice bowling!
(That'll be $50...)
Seriously though, glad you saw some improvement and congrats on the 600 series. Don't get frustrated when you start league bowling if your scores go down a bit. The different pace and carry down oil from having other bowlers there will sometimes cause you to dip a bit, but the upside is still there.
Im going to have to stop reading your posts. Between this $50 and the $120 your going to save me on the ball oven, I just cant afford your advise. Lol. The check is in the mail, but you know now unreliable the post office can be...
See, this is exactly why I still have to live in Mom's basem...I mean, such a small penthouse.
You've got me pegged.
