Ball Oven!!

Ok,,, thinking about a Christmas gift for my wife,,,(lol), do any of you have this particular oven, or know of another one that YOU actually have, or know someone that has one. Looking for first hand observations. I think my wife would love an oven,,, isn't OVENS, in their DNA??? I have a bizarre way of removing oil but I don't know if it actually works. It SHOULD work in theory. You have seen me spin a ball on a washing machine agitator. So when it is spinning I heat the ball with a blow dryer. When it gets wet with oil I then spray it with degreaser while it is still spinning. The centrifugal force then throws off the degreaser along with (I hope) the oil. I need more tests to prove whether it works. I've only done it a couple of times.

I had an idea the other day, I put the extra ring in my tabletop convection cooker,, then put it on the lowest setting it had, which did not include warm unfortunately.

In theory the ball was on a ring so most of the surface was exposed, oil drips down into the pan below the ball... only problem was the temperature...too much heat too close to the top. I think its call ( The New Wave Oven). Being a convection cook top it had a good swirl of hot air flowing around the ball like a tornado!

I am sure their are many other ways to come up with a system that would work well, the key is not to get the ball too hot!

This. Iceman I can walk you through how to build the exact same thing in 10 minutes time and it will cost you $80 shipped. I've been using mine for months and have built 2 for pro shops near me.

do you see the way the levels fit together in the center? I don't think it would work, how would the ball fit????
maybe it with a different bottom section you could put that top dehydrator section on a 5 gal bucket, or something!

I would have to check out the temperature setting... I am sure there are many options out there if a person got creative!

I am all ears!!! LOL,,, how did you make it work?? Did you use the top section, and come up with a different section to hold the ball? Now you got me thinking.... I wish that New Wave Oven would have worked... The ball fit inside perfect, just maybe a little to close to the heating element... and the temperature was a little to high even on the lowest setting!

I have been looking for reviews on this model myself. I know there are a bunch of DIY homemade ones out there but knowing a company made it specifically for de-oiling a bowling ball helps to put my OCD at ease...

i wouldnt say innovative created it for balls. Looks like the nesco dehydrator top with a modified ball holder. But hey if you wanna spend extra money for a label be my guest lol
