Not to brag, well OK I am bragging, but one time when I was way younger I was practicing and in games 9,10,11,12 I bowled 300,279,289,256. This was with a urethane Blue Hammer. I know; if it isn't sanctioned and can't be proved it didn't happen. I did save the print out but the last time I looked the ink was almost gone. The ink may have vanished now and those games only exist in my own memory. I left three 10 pins and an 8-10 split.
Anyway, I personally don't know if I buy the fatigue thing. I think it depends on the individual and actually bowling with SOME fatigue can be beneficial. Have you ever found that you bowl better when you are sick? My legs have been so tired after working ten hours on my feet that I have barely been able to get out of the car, yet 15 minutes with my feet up and four ibuprofen and I bowled just fine.
If you want to stop muscling the ball just bowl until you are too tired to muscle the ball. I'm not saying fatigue works for everyone but for some it does.
