Some information about me

I’m right-handed. With a rev rate of 350 rmp’s on the average.
My ball speed is 16mph,with 60* rotation, and 20* axis tilt.

Layout –I used a 75*x35* @ 4” and a P2 Extra hole.

The ball surface was OOB 4000 grit sanded,but I used MOTIV Power Gel Polish to put some shine on it. The lanes surface was 4 year old Pro Anvilane.And the pattern was a fresh 40’ house shot.

First Impressions
*A strong pearl that is for heavier oil .Bonus!
*A ball that makes a strong move when it hits the friction,but not as fast as the Primal Rage. A arcing reaction with a long continuation from the breakpoint to the pindeck.
*This ball seems not to have any limits from inside angles on oil.The Cruel Intent shows an ability to recover from anywhere on deeper angles.
*This ball hooks plenty,but it is predictable.So the bowler knows just what they are getting,and it’s up to them to create the movement and angles needed to create the proper area to get it to the pocket,and carry.

What you are going to find is that the Cruel Intent gives bowlers looking for a powerful oil ball,just that.The Sinister core and the Fusion Pearl Reactive cover allows bowlers to send this ball on deeper angles than they are use to getting from a oil ball. And still be extremely confident that it will recover.The only place it didn’t recover from,was the gutter.
When it made it's move to the pocket, it's not quite a skid flip,but close.And when it made the transition from the breakpoint to the pin deck it was long and continuous.
But make no mistake,it isn’t Primal Rage quick.

On the fresh 40’ house shot,the Cruel Intent was too much ball for me playing a more direct line to the pocket.22/12/8.The straighter angle through the front of the lane to the pocket hooked to quickly for me at the breakpoint.But when I moved 27/17/11 the steeper angle helped me control the front part of the lane,and the breakpoint.Now I could create my own area and get hold.

The Cruel Intent gets through the heads but is early, and gets into a quick transition in the midlane,especially when the heads are starting to get beat-up.Only bowlers with above average will be able to get it through the heads successfully in this scenario.But when there is a solid coverage of oil in the heads any style will be able to use the Cruel Intent except bowlers with slower ball speed.They will not be able to get the ball downlane without it burning up it’s energy early,and hitting weak.
The strength of the Cruel Intent is it just seems not to have any boundaries from inside angles.The Intent let me move inside and really get steeper angles and still get recovery,with good pin carry.With other balls this aggressive ,you usually see corner pins because of the early roll.As I moved left and found enough oil in front and the mids,as long as the breakpoint wasn’t blown apart,this ball just keep cornering.
Closing Statement
The Cruel Intent never meet any oily condition which it couldn’t handle.The Cruel Intent is not going to be a first ball out of the ball for most bowlers on house shots.Or an everyday ball for all bowlers.
Straighter styles and Tweeners styles that are rev dominate or speed dominate will find that the Intent gives them plenty of area and striking power on house shots.The Power Strokers that match up rev rate and speed,can use it to open up the lane on most house shots.The power players will need some more oil and speed to use it on most house shots.But they will love it on longer patterns with heavier volumes of oil.
Best oil ball from MOTIV.If you need something strong yet predictable,the Cruel Intent is the ball for you.
