Nice! I changed my release a couple of months ago and my average is up about 10 pins since then. Amazing what a little change can make

Keep it up boatman! I'm fully convinced that half of it if not more is just mentally feeling comfortable and confident which leads to better shots.

Been a bit since i updated, I had a week off due to a snowstorm and thus had 2 weeks between bowling which isn't super ideal - once a week is about the lower limit for my physical game to stay intact.

    12/9:
    264, 243, 204 - 711 series

    12/16 (no bowl)

    12/23:
    202, 190, 234 - 626 series

Still felt really good and in the groove on the 9th, but definitely a smidge off on the 23rd. Had some problems with aim on my strike balls (spares were solid though). Got it together in game 3 for a nice strong close, although we only took that one game on the night.

Nice scores. We haven't bowled in a few weeks due to our center being shut down. But my release has led to better carry. I get alot more pins flying around back there now. Sure my accuracy still needs to be there but I can miss a little and the carry helps clear some of those. I still need to work on my transition but I have been averaging 17 strikes a night where before I was averaging about 14. Not a huge difference but it adds up

Going from just under 50% to over 50% guaranties that at least some of the strikes are back to back which is where strikes show their full value.

    12/30:
    191, 179, 174 - 544 series

    1/6:
    244, 212, 203 - 659 series

    1/13:
    185, 242, 211 - 638 series

    1/20:
    207, 208, 255 - 670 series

I've continued throwing well but have had a case of the 10 pins the last few weeks. I feel like I'm reading the lanes better and my physical game/timing is infinitely better than earlier in the season. Outside of that 544, no extreme nights, but generally decent/solid bowling from my perspective. It's nice to get out once a week in the winter here.

Looks nice and solid this year.

Are you going to bowl any NEBA tournaments this year?

    I'd take 3 weeks over 600. Heck, I'd take 2 weeks in a row over 600.

Who'm I kidding? I'd take 2 weeks in a row knowing that we're definitely bowling and it won't get cancelled due to the pandemic or a blizzard.

I'm not planning to do any NEBA this year. I'm just doing 1x/ week at this point, don't really have the comfort especially on a sport pattern to do much of anything currently. It took me several weeks just to adapt to our house shot change! I'm happy just to get out there now like Aslan said.

If I can get back to practice after all this is over with and somehow find more time in my schedule, perhaps.

    Last couple weeks:

    1/27:
    222, 238, 195 - 655 series

    2/3:
    193, 242, 204 - 639 series

Pretty similar, dealt with some tough transition in the first week and some missed 10 pins on 2/3. Overall still happy with my shot and scores.

    199, 212, 213 - 624 series

    2/17:
    192, 230, 187 - 609 series

    2/24:
    256, 177, 178 - 611 series

A little bit frustrating the last few here. On the 10th, I didn't have a great look until game 3, and then had a big split after a good start. On the 17th, I simply wasn't throwing well. My timing was bad, I was forcing it, etc. I was lucky to get away with as high a series as I did. Also, my wrist hurt for a few days after that night, more signs that I wasn't on top of my game at all and forcing it. This week, I actually had a great release and was super on target. I got AHEAD of transition, then behind in games 2 and 3 and struggled on the left lane in particular (lot of 10 pins mostly). Frustrating because it should have been way higher of a night. All together, the last 2 balanced each other out.

    3/17:

Well, I've been throwing a little oddly lately as I am recovering from a herniated disk. on 3/3 I was throwing really well again and just didn't get the scores. I tend sometimes to slow down and actually have a really nice physical game/timing when I have an injury, less forcing. on 3/3 I just missed a few spares I should have made at bad times, but did get XX in the last game/frame (anchor) to seal up the game and series win for the team. On 3/10 I was off. Timing was all over the place, I was as lucky to get as high a series on this night as I was unlucky the prior weeks. Again, game 3 I had to double in the 10th to get us a win and managed to do so on a bad shot, then flush hit. 3/17 I finally bowled well, had 4 splits and still managed the 679. Unfortunately, one of the splits was in... frame 10 to win a game. What goes around comes around, I suppose. On to next week with a bit more confidence in scoring/adapting to lanes lately.
