    Default 13 strikes for 270!

Last night my opponent had the first three strikes, then fouled on a strike, made the spare and struck out for 270! I've heard of it happening but have never seen it before. Wait, it gets better...

During the second game the foul light started malfunctioning on that lane! Yep, it was going off randomly, sometimes when no one was on the approach and it was recording false fouls on the scorekeeper! That happened four times before they just shut the foul lights off.

So did he really foul? Well, he does slide precariously close to the foul line and he did not protest the foul even after we found out that the foul light was malfunctioning. However, he didn't say he did foul for sure either. I guess it would be up to him to protest, and he didn't, so it looks like the foul stands. I think he would have had to said something right away if he didn't foul. He said he does foul once in awhile. He started the second game with a double too for 15 in a row.

That would suck, but if he wasn't too upset I'm guessing he has ripped a 300 before.

Default Wow!! First time I have heard of that!!

How many 300's has he had?? IF this would have been his first, then I would have been FRICKEN UPSET!!! It sound like he is a GREAT bowler, and I am sure he will have several 300s in his future! BAD LUCK sometimes just happens.

I never knew you could protest a foul line trigger... I've had it go off when I'm definitely a few inches away before, I figured the ball or my hand triggered it. Does a protest get anywhere, since it's more of a subjective thing? There isn't really a way to "prove" it unless you stay like a statue and someone comes to verify???

Or he could stop sliding so dang close to the foul line.

I swear our foul lights don't work. There's times from the back it seems like certain players DEFINITELY slide over the foul line and the light doesn't go on. I've even looked down at my own sliding foot in practice and seen just a bit of my toe over the line....nothing. And nobody wants to be "the jerk" and claim someone fouled...so it's pretty much just a free for all.
