While I will occasionally listen to my workout playlist on the way to the bowling, while I'm at the line I try to get a song in my head that matches my tempo. I have a tendency to speed up, especially the better I'm doing. It isn't anything I'd say you should go out an listen to, but it is Andy Cherry - Our God's Alive.

Never understood death metal, Anthrax all day long, but death metal, that is a whole different level of anger.

Honestly Anthrax would be considered light metal to me - I like them just saying I like a lot heavier bands in general - Lamb of God, Slipknot, Disturbed, etc. I am also big time into punk. Real punk not this new age labeled punk but really commercialized garbage crap.

Lol! That reminds me of a guitar teacher I had. Super mellow, really laid back guy. Great teacher too. You'd never know he was the lead singer/guitarist of The Fallen...

Every single band that is selling albums and or/performing in front of a paying audience is doing so to MAKE MONEY. 100% are attempting to appeal to a certain group of people. I wouldn't be surprised at all if there are many bands that don't actually like their own music or even their own type of music. Of course they can't come out and say that or the money stops coming in.

I have a guy on my team that insists on wearing his ipod with earbuds while he bowls. Which, who cares, to each their own...but its MECHA annoying when you're trying to talk to him and he can't hear you. Sometimes you feel like throwing something at him when it's his turn to bowl.

I'd put Disturbed a bit below Anthrax on the metal chart myself, but I used to listen to them as well. Slipknot a few songs, but not a huge fan.

I have heard of the fallen. Too cool. I was investigating a new design for a part here at work and I ran into the original guitarist for Exodus. He left the band at very early stages because he felt that weren't going anywhere, lol.

Lady Gaga is a prime example - went to Julliard but she says there is no money in good music so she produces garbage and the sheep love it. It is the thoughtless mindless lazy self-absorbed iSociety we live in.

At one time in my life - around when I was 15-17 years old I refused to listen to anything but punk music - every other type of music was dead to me. Cryptic Slaughter, Exploited, Misfits, ALD, Minor Threat, Black Flag, etc. Funny thing is I like to play like Minor Threat radio on Panadora or something similar around the little kids. I got away with it for awhile but they are getting a little older and starting to like specific music. Surprisingly though my son is really into rock and alternative music. In the car I will be driving and he out of nowhere starts singing it word for word. My older kids always hated my music and they listen to bubble gum crap - always been disappointed - but they are more followers than leaders.

Depends on your chart. I was talking about how heavy the music is. Anthrax is a bit lighter music wise. I guess you could argue either way. But really Anthrax and Slipknot are apples and oranges. Anthrax paved the way for Slipknot, yes, but Slipknot is a whole new evolved different style of music. Anthrax's early stuff was "speed metal" but overall I would classify them as metal.
