It was started by people who left here (who didn't like the direction the site was headed IMO) and a lot of people from here have went there.

It's not as technical as BC, but not as wide open and as put the word "POO" in the thread title as here.

It'd be interesting to know what people who prefer that site have to say about it. To me, a forum is a forum. They all seem very similar. Bigger ones tend to get more youth...and that tends to lead to more immaturity. But smaller ones tend to have the opposite problem where you have to deal with "cliques" and tend to be more iron fisted. At least from what I've seen.

What is this!? A conversation taking place that hasn't gotten out of hand!? Blasphemy! This thread was locked because any and all conversation from a certain point on was deemed to be pointless!

and no Bowl1820, I wasn't specifically talking about any thread being unlocked. I made a separate comment about this specific thread, to which you, yourself, made the connection as if I was targeting this specific thread...



At the end of the day, who really gives AF... It's a bowling site of which conversation should be welcomed of any kind. If things aren't out of hand, which they weren't, then there is no reason to lock threads.



EDIT: and for the record, I think Mike was stating his opinion, not trying to start a war between two sites.

It was not a thread it was casual things mentioned here and there about OUR Site!! ScottyMoney saying in a sense we run a better, tighter site!
Is Aslan different??? Hell yes! But sometimes you need a little vodka in the eggnog! How many times can you ask, ( what's the best ball cleaner, how do I get more Rev's, ect ect!

I will not say anything bad about lockwoods site, The most I ever see on their site the times I check it out are about, (well at the moment 2 members, and 7guest!

Why the low numbers, maybe because most come to this site for the free ball each week! (NOT ME, but most), I think they are giving a ball away each month, ( I believe), and that could be why bowlingball.com has MUCH HIGHER visits!
As I have said, I think Lockwood did a great job, I just can't be a part of a bowing site that has a phony, as a administrator, he did take down his 228 average, but now has another bunch of B.S.,,, "My average changes sooooo much that I can't keep up with it"! Right..... more lies,,, If you have time to post 5000 threads on bowlingboard.com, and become a God, LOL,,, you (for sure), have the time to put your current average... so many stories, and B.S!! All his unsanctioned 300's,,, when in reality you can go to Bowling Awards com and see his average is around 165 to 170! Wow some of the stories he would write.... Honesty, and integrity mean something to me! I am just that way, that's why I always post pictures of my league scores when I do something worth sharing.
Anything you read without proof, may many times be just B.S. Average are so easy to check out, and I did Bill's.
It was all a lie, plan and simple!! I must admit his way of side stepping his real average was very lame!! LOL

I proudly post my USBC number for all to see, nothing to hide.

Its time,,,, Iceman got it off his chest! I am moving on! Again, I am not a phony, and do have a HARD time with people that ARE! It's OVER,,, I got it off my chest, and now I will go to church and cleanse my soul of the stink that was eating me up.
