THE OTHER BOWING BOARD SITE bad mouthing this one
I occasionally go to the other site, (lockwoods) to check it out for information about bowling! You know it upsets me that on numerous threads here and there, they bad mouth this site! Many of the people throwing stones have won one or more balls on this site. You get the opinion that they are above this one, and even make rude comments on some of the people on this site, including my good friend Aslan!!! Countless times they mention what a GREAT site THEY have and that they would not allow on their site things that are happening on this one!
They have an arrogance and up-a-tee attitude that I find condescending!
HAVE ANY OF YOU SEEN people on this website, bad mouthing your site? Only problem I had was with make believe, guyl! I love the his profile where he states his bowling average! He puts it this way: "It changes to much and varies from league to even try in keep up" words to that effect! might it be around 170?? Nothing wrong with that,,, Its as easy keeping up with your averages as making a post?
LOL O well, its a fee country!! (make believe guy), is one of the owners, big wigs on that site, integrity should be the corner stone of ANY Organization, yet he has been caught spinning tales of lies on many accounts. I could go back and bring them up, but that is not my intent! I won't even mention the name of your site!
Both sites have some good information, Please stick to bowling, and lets not attack one another!

And it's not just that site. I was actually trying to buy a ball on BBexchange and some troll came into the thread and started saying rude things about how my price point was unrealistic. I merely responded that I had seen the ball for "about" that price...and really didn't NEED another ball...I just thought maybe someone was selling one/cleaning out stock. Well, I then got THREE trolls who showed up insulting me and saying "if you can't afford the extra $19, you should quit bowling"...personal insults, etc... in a FOR SALE/WANTED thread!!! Finally one troll popped in and told the other trolls not to pay any attention to me because I was a troublemaker on THIS site and just there to start trouble.
I mean, are you kidding me!?? Because I wanted a ball for $71 and didn't want to pay $89.95?? Finally the administrator had to step in and "remind" the trolls that there are rules regarding "FOR SALE/WANTED" thread and they were violating those rules. In other words, if you don't like what people are selling or the price they are willing to pay for what YOU'RE selling...then don't buy/sell at that price. But insulting people and making personal attacks and turing for sale threads into "Springer" is not appreciated.
But...it's hard. Whether it's this site or that one or any other one...even if you follow rules....even if you try to be respectful...even if all you have is "an unpopular opinion"....it still eventually leads to people like me getting booted. Because sites would rather sacrafice "opinion variety" than have their moderators constantly "moderating" arguements. Sometimes you have 5 dogs and 4 of them constantly gang up on the 5th. And in those cases...sometimes it's just easier to have someone adopt the 5th dog than to constantly break up fights.
Iceman...and I know you and I are at LEAST on the same page with this sentiment/belief....next time you're on the site (any site) and they start throwing rocks at me, or this site, or other users...just remind them that it doesn't take much courage to talk about people behind their backs. I haven't backed down from a fight yet...so if they want to find me...they know where I am. If not...well...let them have their little sewing circle. People that are cowardly like that...they aren't worth worrying about.
ETA: I agree it's bad for to criticize a site where you won a ball as well. If people had any decency, they'd give the ball back.

That is pretty normal. You should see how much most of the KC Chiefs board members hate other boards. Posters tend to take ownership of their BB's in such a way that takes on a very childish, "Mine is better than yours", attitude. I like to follow the, to each their own, as most BB's have a different general look and feel and you should just pick the one that fits you the best.
