I dont have quite that problem at the amf proshop. Our amf proshop was until very recently the only REAL amf proshop around here in the past couple months the guy that runs that proshop made a deal and is now leasing the proshop like every other one amf has. Along with these changes is a pretty nice price hike even to the regulars so my business now goes to a different proshop. I now use the same proshop as Jaescrub and have had 3 balls drilled recently and I think they are a much better fit anyways.

When you get tired of whatever balls you are using now. Just like when we get tired of our current car. You see some nice shiny new stuff running around and you think boy, would I like to have one of those. The same with bowling balls. You see a nice shiny new color you like and you like the name on it and you say to yourself I got to get that ball for me. Maybe that ball will give me higher score games then the balls I have now that are a little worn out. Yeah! That's the reason. I need an out of box fresh ball to replace my worn out stuff. I knew I had a good reason to get a new ball or balls.

I bowl at two different Brunswick alleys, one morning and one evening. They are totally different and much more so since one of them got a brand new Brunswick lane machine...aargh.

I haven't really been looking at bowling balls. Unfortunately, most of my work occurs from November thru February/March, so all I have been able to do is bowl league and try and stay up with the forums. No practice, no coaching sessions, and no ball shopping. But come March, I will start back with my coach, and then we will research and discuss with the proshop guy what ball(s) to look at.

I think it's about time I get a new ball, between the two holes there is a huge chip. Happened on New Years also, what a great way to start the new year 2014. haha
Hopefully it lasts on the upcoming 4 tournaments. I have to keep bowling hard to make it to state!!!

The ball comes with a nice 3 year warranty which was immediately voided by drilling the finger holes too close to the pin.

I'm assuming there is a pretty good size balance hole on the side to make it legal.

The CG is shifted quite a ways over, so unless the ball had very little top weight before drilling, or there is a proper balance hole, you don't want to use that in sanctioned competition.

Oh wait, USBC has pretty much given up on policing the rules, so go ahead.
