    Default Grip / Finger issues

I have been struggling this year with my release and timing. I'm down over 40 pins on my average and just can't seem to figure out how to correct my problem(s). The biggest problem is my ring finger. The nail presses so hard against my finger it splits it open after 3-4 games of bowling. I can usually feel the pain in my back swing as the ball starts to transition forward. I feel this is a grip issue but not exactly sure. Any one have similar issues or advice??

Sounds like a forward Pitch and/or span issue, I'd have my grip checked.
