I think I'm in love!
I finally picked up that used 14# DV8 Misfit Pearl from the proshop and it worked out great when I tried it out last night! On top of that I had had my 15# Street Rod taken from 2000 grit, to 4000 with poilsh which worked out terrible. I had him take of the polish last night when I was at the shop but leave it at 4000. It was like the perfect pair, when I stopped having luck with my Misfit i would move over a marker and switch to the Street Rod and WHAM! I will say though, I don't think I have ever thrown so many damn splits in a session ever, it was mostly with that Misfit.

Bowled one game tonight. Best opener I've had. Opened first frame with a strike from the misfit, next frame 8 No spare, next frame 8 No spare, then i think next frame was a 8 with spare. Then I switched to the resurfaced street rod and finished the game with 6 strikes in a row. I don't remember if those stats are perfect, but it was a 226 and I was very happy with that final streak.

Yeah I went out again last night, that resurface on my Street Rod is perfect for my throw now. I had a 175 avg last night. Kinda sucks about the Misfit, planned on it being my go to ball, but my Street Rod is treating me so well now. It is getting use though, it's working pretty good for spares since it doesn't have a lot of hook to it. I'd be pretty interested in trying out a regular Misfit, I imagine it has a bit more bite.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but a pearl is not designed to be resurfaced I would imagine? I probably shouldnt mess with it if can though, defeats the purpose of have two balls with different behaviors.

Yeah if I ever bowl anywhere else lol the place I go has synthetic lanes that are usually pretty well oiled, and has way better deals than anyone else around.
