    Default thanks!

I have never seen that particular slow motion view! Explains a lot in regards to that TRAGIC LEAVE..... Would be nice to see and hear some solutions to this!

Some times its the angle, sometimes it might be ball defection, ect ect.... Ball to heavy, too light, too aggressive of a ball, not aggressive ,,, Move up, back, Left right! ball speed so many approaches what works for you!!

I think it all comes down to angle into the pocket, and how much energy left in the ball. Sometimes, the ball rolls out right before it enters the pocket, and if you get just a little deflection....then you have this or a weak 10.

Here's a thread about it. (Be warned most of the thread has little to do with the subject)

If you notice, my description in the thread, and what you see in the video match exactly, depending on how you interpret "up and around". The video was more "around"

Based on the video, is there any way you can agree with Rob's comment about the ball coming in behind the head pin? I didn't think so.

The hardest part of 10 pins, is there is an range of deflection, less than the weak 10, but more than the ringing 10, that has the 6 pin bounce off the wall into the 10 pin.

If you're carrying that shot, throwing the ball a little worse results in a 10 pin, while at the same time throwing the ball a little better also results in a 10 pin.

I'm not commenting on which of you is right.

Since it has been suggested a lot here are beginners, I go with the simple.

My thought on the ten is if your throwing a basically good shot and start popping the corner.

Don't worry about nitpicking whether it's flat or a ringing ten, most average bowlers won't notice which one it was in the first place .

You got about two choices to make on what to do about it, you either stay where you are and hope the shot comes around

    or you make a change.

Either move left or right, move back, slow your speed or change balls and see if it helps.

Default Al Said it like it is! You just need to make an adjustment take your pick!

I have only been bowling 3 years, so no expert like Aslan, and Mike White! But I only know the suggestions that Al, made are the best solutions in my book! I can think of no other options that work better. A ball change with a different look into the pocket might, and has made a difference for me.

BUT if the ball is leaving 10 pins and you do nothing, you might have a situation like I had 2 years ago. I KID YOU NOT 9, 10 pin leaves in a role!!!

I remember the guys that were giving me advice said, Keep Everything the same,,, the oil will change, and your ball will start to carry.

    NOT!!! Didn't happen.

I think Al, pretty much said like it is! You have many options, choose the one that works BEST FOR YOUR STYLE or bowling.

That is the most frustrating. It seems that the finish angle is th same no matter where you move.

Thats when you know you're on lanes that are too "easy".

Maybe not easy for you, but for the lucky soul who's ball happens hit the pocket correctly that night, it's dead easy.

For you, your moves make no difference. For the other guy, his errors make no difference.
