Only thing that can possibly leave a 10 is the angle that the 3 hits the 6 - and that is strictly and uniformly caused by WHERE the ball hits the 3 (pocket).
That's why movement and ball change and all kinds of recipes change the outcome...but don't necessarily explain WHY the 10 is still standing there.
Losing energy, poor angle, too much energy, deflection coming in, too little deflection - they all matter, but it all changes for the better when you hit the 3 in the right place.
I know people will argue me on this, but the video shows it. Weak pocket hit wouldn't have tripped the 6 around the pin, if the angle of entry had been different - in order cancel out the weak roll. Or, a stronger roll wouldn't have deflected right on the headpin and thus would have changed the hit to the 3-6.
Hit the pocket in the right place, even with a 6lb house ball, and the 3 trips the 6 into the 10. Every time.
I hate over simplifications, or recipes to change the 10 pin leaves that presumes everyone is hitting in the exact same spot. The pocket is actually pretty wide, and no matter what you're doing there is an optimal angle for YOUR ball to hit it....whether you're Belmo or 82 year old Marge Hegstrom throwing a 9lb'er.
Hit it right, and the 3 goes into the 6 and hits the 10.
