Default Is throwing a bowling ball like throwing a baseball?

Let's say that you are the third baseman on a pro baseball team. The ball gets hit to you on a fast grounder. You get the ball and throw it to 1st base quickly. What does your body do when you throw it as hard as you can? If you are left handed your shoulders open up and your left hand goes behind you and your right arm goes in front of you with the thumb pointing to the ground. Your left leg is behind you which will act like your power step in bowling and you right leg is in front of you like your sliding leg. When you throw the ball you push off your back leg onto your right leg and your shoulders rotate closed so your arm can have power in the throw the ball and your right arm rotates to your side and slightly behind you like your balance arm in bowling.

This is like the pro swing technique in bowling. They get the ball going into the swing in front of them. As the ball is swinging back their shoulders open up with their left arm and ball going behind their head and their right arm going in front of them with their thumb pointing down. To swing the ball forward they push off their left leg which is the power step and their right leg is sliding in front of them as the ball is coming down and being thrown onto the lane.

So if you can throw a league ball to first using the technique to throw it hard correctly then you can use that same technique to throw your bowling ball. Just pretend you are throwing a ball to first base but underhanded. The bowling ball will be a little heavier then the league ball though.

IMO not at all. Baseball is a game more about waiting and then making a split decision most of the time. Whether that is being the short stop and getting a hot grounder hit at you and having to throw to first base to get the guy or girl out or if you are the center fielder and have to make a quick move to catch a line drive or fly ball. Bowling is more like chess - careful consideration and unless you just hit the meth pipe a slow deliberate approach / throw. You can compare, and many do, bowling to horse shoes. Baseball I say not.

Big difference: you throw a baseball, and you roll a bowling ball. Never the twain shall meet!

Maybe slow pitch softball if your the pitcher. My dad was the pitcher on his softball team and also was great at horseshoes. I think it all helped him with delivering the ball the same every time plus same motion.

I guess that I didn't make my point right. What I meant was when you throw a league ball to first your right arm goes back at the same time your shoulders open up and your left hand is in front of you usually with the thumb down. When the pros swing their bowling ball their right arm goes back with the ball behind their head and their left arm goes in front of them with the thumb pointing down. As far as the legs when the ball is thrown they push off their right leg and the weight is shifted forward to the left leg. In bowling the power step pushes the sliding
left leg forward so the bowling ball can be thrown. That is what I was comparing.
