Why did Mika Koivuniemi win 250 000 dollars at the 2010-2011 TOC?

The payout is only 50 000, unless his 299 had something to do with it.. Anyone know?

It was a one-time deal, done as a marketing experiment to try to up viewership on PBA events. The tournament was actually televised on one of the networks rather than ESPN and had lots of extra bells and whistles, special guests, etc. I don't remember too many of the specifics, but I do remember that they did run into a problem when some of the network affiliates in certain areas chose not to pick up the telecast, so some people never got to see it.
