    Hehe....well I don't post all that much. The key is to just not worry or think about it. If I win a ball, great, if not, whatever.

    1) No. I don't think you can win twice. They gave Iceman 2 balls thinking he'd stop posting and it didn't work so they stopped that practice.

    2) Hammer will never win because if he wins anything other than a Hammer, he'll just constantly complain that it's not a Hammer ball.

    3) Hampe has probably been drawn 3 times…but International Shipping??? Yeah…bowling ball.com ain't stupid. To ship a bowling ball overseas will cost literally 3x what the ball is worth.

    4) Well Iceman…to answer you question…

    The first pinnacle is behind me. First I had to survive the "Great Aslan Purge" where I was 4 people shy of being permanently banned from the site. Then, I had to convince the site that I am a "valued member" of the site (their words). Then I finally win a bowling ball after setting the record for most posts without a ball win.

    Now…strictly concerning the site…well, I have a little tournament (the Virtual Bowling Tour) that I am director of…so thats taking a lot of time. Mostly dealing with whiners and complainers….which I think is prepping me for becoming a site moderator when Bowl1820 finally gets sick of this site and jumps ship over to that "other" site.

    I also have a small video project in the works…where I'm going to collaborate with MWhite to put together a little instructional video. Gonna drill up 2 of the same ball (same brand, same model, same weight) and then show how different of a reaction you can get. Put it on Youtube…as sort of an informational item.

    But yeah…other than that…just working on actual bowling. Trying to achieve that elusive 190 average. Trying to get that first 300 ring. That first 800 series. Then on to fame and fortune as I focus on winning tournaments, the USBC open, etc.. If the PBA is still around, maybe join up and set some records…then die tragically.
    In Bag: (: .) Zen Master Solid; (: .) Perfect Mindset; (: .) Brunswick Endeavor; (: .) Outer Limits Pearl; (: .) Ebonite Maxim
    USBC#: 8259-59071; USBC Sanctioned Average = 192; Lifetime Average = 172;
    Ball Speed: 14.7mph; Rev. Rate: 240rpm || High Game (sanc.) = 300 (268); High Series (sanc.) = 725 (720); Clean Games: 198

    Smokey this is not 'Nam', this is bowling. There are rules. Proud two-time winner of a bowlingboards.com weekly ball give-away!

    …then die tragically.
    No doubt involving a wad of chewing gum, an errant shoelace and a ball return...

    Default Give Iceman a heads up when the vedio is completed!!!!

    I SURE DON'T WANT TO MISS THE INSTRUCTIONAL VEDIO YOU AND MIKE ARE MAKING!! Let's see, who will be the pupil, and who will be the student? LOL

    chapter ONE:
    How to handle strange lanes, with poor conditions and still break 100, while bowling a tornament!

    chapter TWO: The right ball for the right lane, can sometimes be just as simple as flipping a coin

    chapter THREE
    How to come up with great excuses for getting beat using the wrong adjustments, and improper ball selection!

    just kidding.... LOL.... I just think its great that the two of you will be collaborating on this epic endeavor!!! With all your knowledge put together, I am sure it will fly off the shelf's as fast they can print it!

    I for one love a GREAT READ!!! Good luck guys,,,,, ice

    Now that Aslan won a ball...

    The end times are nigh!

    Actually, I'm interested in seeing how your video project turns out. Will you be doing the demo, or will you have someone else be shooting them? Only reason I ask - you're a fairly low-rev bowler and it could be difficult to see the difference compared to a higher rev person.

    Actually a few international posters have won. As far as I'm aware the winner gets the ball free but has to pay the shipping themselves.

    Of course I will be doing the demo as they are my bowling balls and will be drilled to fit my game (or lack there of) and my specifications. So, you may see less of a difference in eventiual outcome than a higher rev bowler would. Rob said the same thing concerning symmetric vs. assymetric cores. He didn't see a difference at all throwing his way, his style...but felt that a higher rev or thumbless bowler may have seen a much different result.

    IF it happens and goes well...but a marked difference isn't noticed...I could always do a follow-up video where I have Mike throw them...being a much higher rev bowler...and see if a difference is noticeable.

    It's an interesting project because on the one hand...we'll try to push the envelope using drilling layouts and surfaces to make them very different...maybe more different than a person usually would. On the other hand, as with all drilling projects, ultimately I will need to use them effectively at some point so the end result will need to lend itself a bit to my game (or lack there of). I liken it to the pros that will have two of the same ball, one pin up and one pin down. We may not see much of a difference if we drill a ball pin up and another pin down...but a pro on tougher lanes with higher revs will. Because my revs are so low...Mike may need to do a little "more" to get them to behave differently than a guy with high revs. Thats my preliminary thinking anyways. It's sort of an "experiment" so I'm not sure how it'll turn out.

    I said "I have a tournament that I am director of"....I didn't say it's MY tournament.

    Like when you're at work and your manager asks you about a rush drive-thru order and you say, "I have McNuggets in the fryer". That doesn't make them YOUR McNuggets.

    I'm trying to relate to VDub's world.
